Back in August 2014, Studio Aszyk was asked to create a set of animations that would live inside the newly rebranded 3Arena Dublin (formerly the O2 Arena). The new detailing inside featured a whole host of new branded elements, lighting and also some giant projection areas for animated content - 1 (mirrored) HD one on either side of the Auditorium and 2 super-wide ones that would live just outside the main arena in the main thoroughfare and bar - if you're in Dublin at the moment, go see them live right now!
The pieces are a set of abstract animations that don't represent any form, but rather are there to invoke a feeling through their pace, colours and shapes. They are know as 'The Pink One', 'The Green One' and 'The Auditorium One' (no pompous names). The pink and the green were the super-wide ones and started life as a bunch of individual compositions, with every element animated to appear and disappear (similar to my BirdMask Visuals). These compositions were then compiled together into a larger comp and adapted to blend between one another, forming a larger, seamless composition. The result is a mesmerising minute of abstract, geometric, colourful goodness.
All the pieces were built and rendered in C4D, with the CV Art Smart Plugin being a massive help for sending elements to and from illustrator >> http://www.cineversity.com/vidplaylist/cv-artsmart.
