Black Moon

A collaboration between Ashtoreth, Grey Malkin and Impulse Deviation (Geert Lenssens).

Ashtoreth and Grey Malkin were asked by Santa Sangre Magazine to create a track inspired by a movie that triggers them. This was for a compilation album they were putting together. Ashtoreth and Grey Malkin drew inspiration from Black Moon, a French 1975 experimental fantasy horror film directed by Louis Malle. Geert mixed nature pictures into abstract psychedelic visionary moving images to blend with the soundtrack. The result is a magical world of his own.

The album was released on august 19th, 2024.

Visuals are recorded within Resolume Avenue 7 in one long take (so no editing) on Sunday September 8. Title and credits are added in Davinci Resolve.

I've been working on this for a few months. Every image in this video start with a photograph. You could call this video a photo animation movie.
