Behind "El Imaginario" signature we can find the visual artist Jesús de las Heras.
This native from Madrid has developed his career alongside the audiovisual field.
His first steps as a filmmaker and post-producer for television and advertisment were for production companies such as Mandarina Films or La Movie and hasalso worked for clients like BMW, SCHWEPPES and VODAFONE. This helped him gain knowledge about different tools and resources which in a future would help him create his own style and way of projecting visuals.
Due to his passion for electronic music he started to gain a huge interest for VJ. He played gigs in small clubs in Madrid and actively participated in rave scenes in Amsterdam during the time that he lived there.
It was not until 2007 that he moved to Ibiza and became a professional VJ. Thanks to the showcase that working in clubs such as Space,
Amnesia and Privilege involved and the work he did as a VJ producer of visual content for many promoters, allowed him to work visual sets alongside artists such as Marco Carola, Carl Cox , Marco Bayle and many more. London, Geneva, Barcelona, NYC, Paris, Milano... have been destinations for elimaginario and his visuals during the last 10 years.
In 2011 his work as a Visual & Stage Designer caught the eye of the promoters of a new party called Music On, by Marco Carola, which is currently one of the most powerful and avant-garde events in the electronic music scene.
In 2015 he surprises everyone with a new facet as an amateur podcaster. He was founded by a few colleagues in the sector and also Visuals For The Masses, a radio podcast about visuals which are spanish speaking and are created by visualists. They used an outstanding jocular and light tone and it earned a good reception by listeners and specialised critiques.
In 2016 he founded llUll Renderings, a visual label and online store. llUll Renderings collaborated with other artists to create content packs for
VJ's. It clearly focused to copy the way of working of an independent record label where the artist chooses what he wants to tell with each videoloop.
One of the greatest achievements of Elimaginario is being able to be surrounded by VJ's collaborators and experts in different fields. This allows him to explore R & D resources and techniques that he can then apply under his style to all kind of spaces, types of music or events.
He is currently beginning to participate in different festivals of light and art, such as Ibiza Light Festival, using the audiovisual installation as part of the urban scene. His monumental proposals are intended to "dazzle and invite to imagine".
This type of initiative and his eclectic taste for suprematism, minimalism, trash noise, his obsession with red and other fetishes, have
helped make this visual artist a reference in the guild with a level of visibility and prestige unprecedented in its sector
